
But after graduating from high school he chose to enlist in the United States Army to serve his country. While serving in the Army he continued to pursue his love for the game and played on the post team as well as the community team in Darmstadt Germany.
Upon leaving the Army he started his coaching career at his alma mater Saint Anthony High School where he became the Offensive Coordinator under Jeff Turley for two years.
After leaving Saint Anthony he became the Running Back Coach at Paraclete High School in Palmdale CA. In 2001, his first of two years at Paraclete, he helped his team achieve a CIF championship title.
In 2003 Dennis was called back to active duty in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He made it home safely in 2004 and commenced his coaching career once again.
He was offered the position of Running Back Coach at Lancaster High School before joining Long Beach Poly Football in 2006. He resides in Bellflower, CA with his lovely wife Veronica and his three sons Shanley 19, Devin 13 and Dmarri 7.
