
Reu Ayala is the Stat Manager with Long Beach Poly Football program going into his tenth season. In this role, he looks after and coordinates all aspects of statistics for Long Beach Poly Football, including posting stats for Maxpreps, and half-time game stats along with media information. A big believer in the team system, he supports the “get to” philosophy. With this “get to” attitude having spent 15 years as a automotive service technician and another 6 as a shop foreman/mentor for the Automotive Youth Educational System (AYES) program.
He holds several certifications in the automotive field, computer technology certifications, and audio engineering major, from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), the Los Angeles Recording School,and the Advent Resources software development INC.
Reu is no stranger to team work, as a Poly high school graduate class of 1984, he was the JROTC company “C” commander and Color Guard commander. As an Automotive shop foreman and computer systems engineer, Reu quotes “Hard work and a team effort, is the only way to accomplish your goals”.
Reu has been working for over 6 years with: the youth mentor program; and the Automotive Youth Education System (AYES). Reu spent 2 years as a member of the Long Beach Poly football Booster Club before joining the football staff in 2003, he helped in a diverse range of committees on the booster club, including, executive board member, Sargent of Arms for two consecutive terms, working with the media guide information, and merchandise marketing. In his role for media and merchandising. He was responsible for collecting media information, and the selling of merchandise.
Reu now teaches young technicians how to achieve the same success that he has by team work and education. With this experience he provides the perfect foundation for the youth of today.
Passionate about Poly football and its possibilities to it’s students, he provides support to the coaching staff to help our team succeed and grow into a Nationally ranked football program.
He resides in Carson California with his lovely wife Donielle also a graduate from Poly and his children Marc'e and Ayanna, both are graduates from Poly.
