Coach Tucker and the Poly freshmen football staff welcomes the new 2011 Long Beach Poly freshmen football players. Remember you are coming to Poly to: educate your minds; grow into young respectable adults; and uphold the Long Beach Poly tradation as "Scholars and Champions".

The Freshmen practice with the football program as one, which means we all learn the same plays from freshmen to varsity level. This is so that you can easily make the transition to JV and Varsity. You will not only be coached by the freshmen staff, but also the JV and Varsity coaching staff. This is your chance to learn, so come to practice with a open mind, hold your tounge and keep your attitudes at home. Remember this especially: "Playing any sport at Long Beach Poly High School is a privilege, not a right". This means that you represent all those that came before you and those who will come after you. It is a privilege to be called a "Long Beach Poly Jackrabbit" because it spans beyond the boundaries of the school, the community, and the state of California.
